I’m Branden, living with SMA Type 1C. I was diagnosed when I was just a year old. My parents say I could be the oldest person with SMA Type 1 in Malaysia. Four years ago, I was blessed to receive treatment. While it’s not a cure, it has stopped me from getting weaker and given me more energy. I can speak better, play my online games longer, and even control the TV remote now. But I’m scared that I might not be able to continue this treatment for much longer. I’ve been painting since I was 2 years old. My weakness is my strength. I paint with my fingers and other tools, and that uniqueness shows in my art . I hope people can see that we can do things like others and that we have value too. I want to have a girlfriend, get married, and live independently when I grow up. I hope my friends like me can have a second chance at life, just like I have. We need all your help. Please share my story so I can continue to get treatment.
